Bearing Precious Seed
"Carry the Light"
Collate the Scriptures of John & Romans
This is a monthly project where we collect Sunday School offerings in February to purchase the paper to print the scriptures of John and Romans for the Mission Fields. Memorial money is also given throughout the year to this project when we loose a loved one. Our Galmey Church sets a monetary goal each February for this project. This is a project "Carry the Light" for the "Bearing Precious Seed" during the year. We designate each year to collate, get the scriptures ready and packed to send to the missionaries. The seed of God will be going around the world from Galmey, MO. We are reaching the world one by one. What a blessing!
The Galmey Church began the monthly "Bearing Precious Seed" Celebration in 2009 when we received our own equipment. God had asked that we plan to work during the year to make up as many copies as we could. We meet in the basement Fellowship Hall and begin our work for our Lord, Jesus Christ. We set aside time to put together copies of John and Romans in different languages to be sent to missionaries in the mission field. The missionaries will be able to use God's Word, printed in the native language. We fold pre-printed covers, collate, put the covers on the scriptures, staple them and then place them in a three sided cutter and box them to be shipped to Missionaries. We also collate scriptures of John and Romans in English to be used here in the United States. We always have a wonderful time of fellowship, fun and eating. We welcome you to join us during this time and see it all come together. This is a wonderful time of doing something lasting for God. This is truly an exciting time of "To God Be The Glory" at Galmey Community Bible Church.
We meet in the basement Fellowship Hall the first Wednesday of each month from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Sometimes we will meet on Saturday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm for those who are unable to come on Wednesday but would like to be a part of this wonderful project. (During the summer months the Saturday afternoon time has been discontinued.)
