Appreciations for August

August is the month we show our appreciation for our Missions Team. They sponsor the Bible Publishing Month in February and coordinate the Bearing Precious Seed program in August. This team also makes all recommendations to the Church Board of which missionaries the church may wish to support. They coordinate housing, meals, expenses and recommend love offerings for visiting missionaries to the church. Express your thanks and love to each of them for all their services, so we may all "Give God The Glory" and remember that together everyone accomplishes much.

Food Bank - Hickory County Outreach

First Sunday of each Month

Bring a non-perishable food item for the Hickory County Outreach in Wheatland. In these hard economic times we must help those who are less fortunate than we are. Maybe they have lost their jobs or just fallen on hard times and we can help by giving non-perishable food items. We are a very giving church so let's show it.

National Friendship Day

Sunday, August 1st

Friendship Day is a special day for showing our friends what they mean to us. On this day it gives us the opportunity to express our love and gratitude to our friends. Let your friends know what they mean to you.

Bearing Precious Seed Workday

Wednesday, August 4th

2:00pm to 5:00pm and 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Come help put the John & Romans booklets together. We will be putting God's word together in a foreign language. Stay for a few minutes, an hour or stay all afternoon and evening. Dinner will be served around 5:00pm. Bring a side dish or dessert. Yum Yum.

Teacher's Training

Saturday, August 7th from 10:00 to 3:00pm

This training is for anyone who has a desire to serve Jesus in a teaching or assistant teaching ministry. If you ever thought you might like to try your hand at teaching, then now is the time. Help is needed in these areas. Students books are $5.00 per book. There will be a potluck lunch (Mexican cusine). There will be a sign up sheet in the foyer on the bulletin board.

Men's Prayer Breakfast

August 14th at 8:00am

The Galmey Men's Prayer Breakfast starts at 7:30am with a cup of coffee and lots of great fellowship. Bring a friend. Rumor has it that they are serving the best biscuits and gravy around the Lake Pomme de Terre area. Bring a friend. Come early and join the men for some great fellowship.

Special Guest ---- Peter Whitebird

Sunday, August 15th at the AM Service

Peter Whitebird will bless us with his music. He will begin singing at 10:30am and the morning message will begin at 11:15am. Come and bring a guest. This is a good time to invite a relative, friend or neighbor. Everyone will enjoy.

5th Sunday Sing

August 29th at the PM Service

On August 29th we will have our 5th Sunday Sing at 6:00pm. Our Galmey Church family will entertain you with vocal and instrumental gospel music that praises God in song. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the talents our church family has been given by our God. Everyone is invited to come and be blessed with us. See Donna Hoke so she can get you in the entertainment line up.
