Appreciations for July

In July we honor our teachers of Sunday School, Children's Church, and Vacation Bible School by showing them our appreciation for all they do for our Church.  Each one of these dedicated volunteers make the Church function in a very efficient manner.   It is with great pleasure the Church shows the teachers our appreciation in July.  Since July is half way through the year, we can honor them for what they have already done and show our appreciation for what they are beginning to start in the second half of the year in their work for the Lord.  Express your thanks and love to each of them for all their services, so we may all "Give God The Glory" and remember that together everyone accomplishes much.

Communion Sunday

July 4th

Dean Chasteen

Speaker for the Morning Service on July 4th

Dean Chasteen will be speaking at the morning service on July 4th.  He is one of the missionaries we support.  He will be reminiscing from the times he was a missionary in Africa.  He will be giving us an insite on the things they did, had to do, wish they could have done and the things they wish they hadn't done.  This should be very interesting.  He has written a book on their missionary travels.  You won't want to miss this.

There will not be an evening service on July 4th

so everyone may spend time with their families.

Independence Day

Food Bank - Hickory County Outreach

First Sunday of each Month

Bring a non-perishable food item for the Hickory County Outreach in Wheatland.  In these hard economic times we must help those who are less fortunate than we are.  Maybe they have lost their jobs or just fallen on hard times and we can help by giving non-perishable food items.  We are a very giving church so let's show it.

Men's Breakfast

The Galmey Church men invite the men in the community to come join them for breakfast, prayer and some great fellowship.  Bring a friend, relative or a neighbor with you.  They will enjoy the morning too.

110th Year Homecoming Celebration

Sunday, July 11th - Morning Service

Happy Birthday, Galmey Church

The Galmey Community Bible Church will be celebrating God's blessing for 110 years of serving God in the Galmey Community.   "We are celebrating what we have today at Galmey Church, because of the foundation of faith, that others have established for the past 110 years." We invite each of you to help us celebrate our love for God as we glance at the PAST and look to the FUTURE.

A special guest will entertain us at the morning service.  Becky Lercher, a southern gospel singer will bless us with her music as she shares the talent God has given her.

On January 9, 1900 the land was deeded to Galmey Community Bible Church.

Our goal is to always "Give God the Glory" in all that we do.

"SeaQuest!"

"Diving for God's Treasure"

July 26th through July 30th

9:00am to 12:00 noon each day

The 2010 Galmey Community Vacation Bible School theme, "SeaQuest: Diving for God's Treasure", encourages students to dive into God's Word to find valuable treasures for their lives. As they pray, plan, and work, they can come to know the Savior and be challenged to treasure God and His Word and to give every part of their lives to Him in love and obedience.

“I have loved thee with an everlasting love.”

Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV)

The SeaQuest will be held from July 26th through July 30th from 9:00am to 12:00 noon in the Activity Center. Children are invited to attend from 5 years old through teen age. The Vacation Bible School program will be on July 30th at 7:00 pm in the church sanctuary.

Themes for each day are:

Hidden Treasure -- Buried Treasure and a Priceless Pearl. God loves you; you are a treasure to God.

Lost Treasure -- A Sheep and a Coin. Jesus came to actively seek the lost.

Real Treasure -- Two Sons and a Father's Love. God always loves us.

Wise Treasure -- A Life Built on the Rock. God's Word tells us how to live to please God.

Eternal Treasure -- A Life That Puts God First. God promises to meet our needs when we put Him first.
