Our Missionaries

Dean & Cleo Chasteen

Dean & Cleo Chasteen became one of our budgeted missionaries in June of 1999. They served as missionaries to the Central African Republic for twenty years from 1951 to 1971. When they came back to the United States Dean began serving at Carver Baptist Bible College in Kansas City, MO.

Dean continues to serve at Carver College as a part time teacher of the Bible. He has taught Bible Prophecy, the Book of Romans, Introduction to World Views, Study of Islam (the students see this as an extremely important study to help them reach out to the many different cultures that are now among us), Principles of Interpretation, Dispensations and Covenants and had a workshop on Bible Versions.

He has been working with Harvest Productions, an arm of Evangelical Baptist Missions, to produce several of their evangelistic videos in the Sango language to use in the Central African Republic. These videos are shown on their national TV every Sunday as well as in the churches.
