Dalton & Sue Dueck
New Tribes Mission in Conakry, Guinea, West Africa
Dalton and Sue Dueck became our 14th budgeted missionary in September 2002. They have 5 children.
Dalton grew up in Canada and Sue grew up in Pennsylvania. They completed bible school in Michigan and began the training course with New Tribes Missions. They moved to the Republic of Guinea, West Africa in 2001 to support church planters in Guinea. More recently Dalton headed up the Administration/Finance committee where he was involved with overseeing all the field finances, ongoing projects and also managing all the conferences and visitors that come. A new ministry opportunity has opened to watch and learn in the area of leadership in church plantings. Sue is involved in hospitality and caring for our coworkers when they are in town.
They lived in Conakry where the political situation was very volatile. NTM began moving the missionaries to other countries or to the interior of Guinea. The decision for the Dueck family was made to return to the United States to Jackson, Michigan where they will be training and discipling the married students at the Bible school. They will have the opportunity to spend time with the couples and families and look for ways to encourage and challenge them in their walk with Christ while at the same time help equip them for some of what they will experience overseas. With today’s technology, Dalton has been able to keep up with his administrative responsibilities in Guinea.
That the children will adjust to the new location
Finances will be found to offset additional expenses
For peace in Guinea’s turmoil
That the Lord will literally be their Strength and their source
of joy and purpose
Thank you for all your prayers and partnering with them
